Mount Juliet is a city of about 42,073 people in western Wilson County, according to the Census Bureau’s 2020-2024 American Community Survey, with Old Hickory Lake on its north side. Two roads organize it: Interstate 40, which cuts across the south side, and North and South Mt. Juliet Road (State Route 171), the north-south spine that crosses it at Exit 226. Lebanon Road (U.S. 70) and Division Street run east-west across the north half. The Census Bureau’s ZIP code areas put the whole city in 37122.

The city has no official list of neighborhoods. What it does have is a land use plan that splits the city and the land it expects to grow into, its urban growth boundary, into seven planning areas, each with its own boundaries, landmarks and to-do list. This guide uses those seven. School zones do not follow them: two of the seven are split between high schools, and a third high school, Wilson Central, serves the part of the city south of I-40.

What this means for you

  • North of I-40 you are zoned for Mt. Juliet High or Green Hill High, both graded A for 2024-25; the line runs through Division Street West and the Town Center.
  • South of I-40 (Providence) you are zoned for Wilson Central High, graded C.
  • One ZIP code: Zillow’s typical home value for 37122 was $565,761 in September 2026, so it does not tell the areas apart.

Acreage is the plan’s figure for each planning area, including land outside the city limits. High schools are what the district’s zone lookup returned at points we checked inside the city. The Zillow Home Value Index is a modeled value for a typical mid-priced home, not a sale price; the city figure was $556,817. More in home prices and schools.

The map

The planning areas are drawn on the map in the city’s Land Use and Transportation Plan Update, and the Future Land Use Map shows what the city plans for each parcel. Map credit: City of Mt. How we built this

  • The areas are the seven planning areas in the City of Mt. Juliet’s Land Use and Transportation Plan Update, the 2016 plan posted on the city’s Planning and Zoning page, with the boundaries, landmarks and projects as the plan lists them. We did not add or name any subdivision. OpenStreetMap’s place names in the area are mostly individual subdivisions, so we did not use them to define areas.
  • School zones come from Wilson County Schools’ zone lookup. We checked a grid of points about half a mile apart across the city limits, 109 in all, plus a tighter grid of 28 points across the Town Center, and sorted each into its planning area by the plan’s boundary roads. Zones can change; always check one address.
  • Grades are the Tennessee Department of Education’s 2024-25 A-F school letter grades.
  • Home values are the Zillow Home Value Index for ZIP code 37122 and for the city, September 2026.
  • Distances on the area pages are measured along OpenStreetMap’s road network, not drive times.
