Lebanon Road (U.S. 70) loses a lane 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Saturday, Oct. 31, and I-840 has overnight paving. Old Lebanon Dirt Road work and who to call.

Last checked Oct. 28, 2026. This page is refreshed weekly. This week’s closures come from TDOT’s Region 3 lane closure report for Oct. 25-31. Project facts come from the City of Mt. Juliet’s Capital Improvements Project Dashboard (updated June and July 2026) and TDOT’s project pages for Central Pike (State Route 265) and Interstate 40 (Wilson County).

Lebanon Road (U.S. 70) loses a lane in each direction along a 1-mile stretch in Wilson County during the day through Saturday, and I-840 in Wilson County has overnight lane closures for paving. Mount Juliet has more than 20 road, sidewalk, signal and sewer projects on its books, and a handful are under construction: the Old Lebanon Dirt Road widening, a new signal at Curd Road and Mt. Juliet Road, Lebanon Road sidewalks and Town Center Trail Phase 3. The big ones, a new I-40 interchange at Central Pike and the widening of South Mt. Juliet Road, are funded in TDOT’s 10-year plan but will not break ground until 2029 or later.

Lane closures this week

These are from TDOT’s lane closure report for Oct. 25-31, the latest it has posted. TDOT lists log miles and mile markers, not cross streets; where it gives no cross street, neither do we.

  • Lebanon Road (U.S. 70, State Route 24), log miles 2 to 3 in Wilson County: one eastbound lane closed for a contractor adding a turn lane, and one westbound lane closed for sidewalk installation in a school zone. 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily through Saturday, Oct. 31. TDOT lists both as non-TDOT construction.
  • I-840, mile markers 65.8 to 70.5 in Wilson County: milling and paving, with more than one lane closed in both directions, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly through Friday, Oct. 30. A separate, non-TDOT job runs rolling roadblocks for blasting between mile markers 68 and 70, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Saturday, Oct. 31.
  • Central Pike (State Route 265), log mile 11.64 in Wilson County: more than one lane closed in both directions to set a new utility pole, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, and Friday, Oct. 30. TDOT does not say which cross street this is near.

The report lists nothing on I-40 in Wilson County or on Mt. Juliet Road (State Route 171) this week. Questions about state routes go to TDOT, 615-741-2848.
