The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Mount Juliet’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 18, 2026. OpenStreetMap had no barbecue places tagged in town, so all four come from the Tennessee Department of Health’s restaurant inspection records. Martin’s and Whitt’s are checked against their own sites. Big Bad Wolf Smokehouse Grill and The Candied Rib Company have no website we could find; we kept them because the state inspected both in September 2026, and we give their address only.
